Getting to Elland Road?

Elland Road, home to Leeds United Football Club, is located two miles south-west of Leeds city centre.

Leeds Bradford Airport is approximately nine miles from the stadium, depending on which route you take.

If you’re coming in by rail, you’ll land at Leeds train station in the heart of the city. Elland Road is walkable in half an hour or so at a brisk pace.

Although many match day visitors take the shuttle bus. It’s a quick, easy and cost-effective way to transfer from station to stadium and back.

The most popular shuttle bus service is the R2. It runs from Sovereign Street, near the Hilton Hotel, just around the corner from Leeds railway station. Look out for the 51, 52, 55, 229 and PR1 services, too – mostly operated by First Bus.

They might be more convenient if you’re eating, drinking, shopping or talking in the culture elsewhere around the city ahead of the match.

Taxi fares are usually around the £18.00 mark. But beware clocking up a higher rate if you’re sat in match day traffic!
